Cramps GONE!

Hi Ladies,

I recently went to see my Gynecologist to get an ultra sound due to the horrible cramps I was getting.  We thought it was my ovaries again.  However, all was good!  No signs of any problems.  A few days later, we went on our road trip to the mid west and for 8 days I did not have access to my Soy or Almond mild for my meal replacement shake from Melaleuca.  So instead, we used water.  Lo and behold I never had a cramp again!  When we returned, it dawned on me that it may be the Soy milk or Almond milk.  So I tried the Almond milk and yes, the cramps returned.  Soy milk - cramps returned.  Needless to say, I am milk free and pain free.  I don't know yet if non-fat milk will produce the same cramps but I am going to try it and I will let you all know.  By the way, not having soy or almond mild also took away my joint pains that I was having every morning.  Woo hoo!!!!  Who would have thunk it. I used Soy milk for a year and according to the research I did, it can cause horrible abdominal pain and other problems if you can't tolerate it. I am so thankful!

Cramp free for now!

Owie..pain in the lower abdomen?

Hi Ladies,

I have been having pain in my lower abdomen for weeks now.  My gynecologist says to make an appointment for an ultra sound...yuk! I am trying to figure out when it started or why but nothing comes to mind. It basically feels like my ovaries are going to EXPLODE!!!  My doc asked me when the pain comes. Does it happen if I'm constipated? If I have gas? If I need to pee?  Well yes to all and no to all.  It happens no matter what.

Any one else out there have these pains?

I thought I was finished with the menopause symptoms but I guess not. Or, perhaps this is related to something else.

So, since I have been feeling bloated, and have a lot of pain in my joints, and muscles, and feel like I'm retaining water, I have decided today to cleanse. In other words, no more sweets, no more pork, and very little meat. I have found recently that when I eat pork, I am in excruciating pain the next day. It also makes me retain water. I don't know if I'm allergic now because this has never happened before or if it may be something else.

I will let you all know.

HOT FLASHES NO MORE!

I just read this info that came my way on FB about cinnamon and honey mixed with hot water and I have been doing it for 2 days now and I have to say, it's amazing! In 2 days it has taken away my dizziness, cleared my nose, gotten rid of phlegm, reduced pain in my right side almost to nothing, stopped hot flashes, and slept all night!!!!!! Wow! Healing virtues of this is amazing. Also it's a weight loss drink and soooooooooo cheap. Just grab whatever honey you have in the house to make this mixture. But heat the water first in a cup, then add 1 table spoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder and drink it up. By the way, it took away my migraine, stopped the indigestion I had and took away tummy ache 2 nights ago. Let me know your results.  Drink it on an empty stomach in the morning and again at night 30 minutes before bed.

Norco

Hi Ladies,

Well, it's been a long time since my last post.  I have had a lot going on with moving, work, and my Phd program.

I don't know if you all remember but in December of 2012, I had surgery on my foot. Well, it has healed nicely but this cold weather caused some strange sensations in my foot so the doc wanted the hardware out.  I had it all removed Friday, January 18, 2013.  I also had him straighten one of my toes on the same foot that was a hammer toe.  I believe now that it had a lot to do with the problems with my foot to begin with.

Anyway, as I have been on pain meds (Norco) since last Friday, I realized that it has helped me sleep through any hot flashes that may have come in the night.  The 10 mg worked best but most of the time I still woke up at least once a night. However, the sleep was better overall with the Norco.  So, I'm realizing that women going through menopause may benefit from some sort of pain med for sleeping.  I don't recommend it for long periods of time because it does cause constipation and it is addictive.  So perhaps during those really bad episodes of menopause it would be OK?  Any thoughts??
